Subsidence on the model

Lately I have observed we seem to have subsidence in the village area of the layout, this is where there is a lift out section to allow acess to the rear of the layout. I constructed it on 4mm foamboard and this has warped so it will have to be replaced.

I will be replacing it with a piece of hardboard with a scrap of MDF board on the rear to strengthen it further.
Also the roadway faded so I will be replacing these and adding an extra building I bought ast a recent toy and train fair.
Just waitng for the glue to set on the MDF and the paint to dry on the hardboard, then I can continue. Watch this space.

Update 2017, the factory has moved and a butcher's shop has been located where the factory used to be.

A trip round the model

Still testing the little spy cam, here it is on the truck behind the loco, pointing slightly inwards it gets a better view of the circuit, but shows up all the bits that need fixing/finishing. Click here to view the video.

Just a quick update, I have bought a small camera and sat it on a truck on my model railway, here's the first video from this experiment.

A lot has happened since the last blog. Firstly the girder bridge was getting in the way so it has been removed. The track to the sidings is now under cover, the inclined track is functional and has a station at the top so trains have a reason to go up there, a village is appearing in the back corner, a warehouse has been added and where the sheep were is now housing. Lots more needs to be done to tidy it up but the video will show some of the changes. Click here to view the video
